its new years eve and we’re in a beautiful mongolian ger set up in a large organic garden. someone’s gone nuts at the hire place and got a smoke machine, giant mirror ball, strobe and lasers. the crowd was a lot larger than expected, but still full of the most wonderful people. thanks to everyone who made this party happen, it truly was a special one.
this recording is from 11pm until just after midnight (before that there was a blues band). we removed the gap at around midnight where the mic wasn’t recorded, so you’ll have to imagine everybody counting down, and then singing along to the first song of 2009
